So you love someone but you aren't sure you can fill a whole jar with words of love for them?
Or, like me, you've made love jars for nearly everyone you know (or are in the process of making them for this Christmas) and you need a quick, pretty love filled gift for the holidays on the cheap?
Bus drivers, teachers, Aunt Mildred.... you get the picture. All these people need love. Heck, we all do!
I am sooo your man. :-)
Inspired by an ornament I found while doing an image search, I present:
::The Love Jar Ornament::

Got the glass balls at Micheal's (on sale for 2.99 for 4). I like this shape as it looks more like a heart, no?
Got the love and heart charms (1.99 per bag of 12) from Micheal's wedding section and tied them on with silver embroidery floss (.88 cents and the most aggravating part, IMHO).
Got the snow inside at kmart (2.99 and I have at least 3/4 of a bag left if anyone wants some I'll send ya a baggie full!).
Got the list of positive love filled words from the link here: Positive Words (I edited the list to suit my love agenda). I set a word document up with 3 columns, found a font I liked (14 or 16pt works great), made the words all CAPITALS, printed the words in purple and cut them out.
That works out to about a buck eighty per ornament. Of course, we all know love is priceless. :-)
Here's the middle step:

Each ornament has about a page of words in it.
As you are cutting out the words and putting them in the ornament think LOVE. Not only will it make the job more fun (the putting the words in was a huge favorite for my 3 year old, BTW) but the recipient will feel it. And so will you, when the love comes back around.
So go forth, my pretties and send some yummy love out into the universe.
Send me pictures if you make any. :-)
I wanna see the love!!!

Awesome! I made glass ornaments last year like these with photos inside and this will be a great 'year 2' addition, Thank you!
LOL . . . after you posted this image I totally got hooked on the idea and showed my mom . . . we are both going to make some. I host an actual ornament party at my house every year and am going to make each of my guests one of these!
I have been thinking about painting . . . something on them such as, "Wishing You . . ." The ideas are swirling . . . thank you for the inspiration dear lovely C.
i have been thinking about doing something like this! what a beautiful gift, C. thank you for sharing!
I've already made one...
mine is just a little different.
I can't post a photo yet, though! ;-)
Oh, the string, ribbon, thread...
it is definitely the most frustrating part.
Totally, completely, absolutely, enduringly FABULOUS!!! Just like you, C. (But you already know that...)
