So it's probably a good thing I decided to take a break from CM when I did.  I've still been around but not on nearly as much as I used to be.  Turns out I just don't have the time any more.  I finally got my promotion at work which means much better pay but it also means I'm working about 44 hours a week.  It also means I've got to work some nights too.  It's been an adjustment but it's working out well.

Matt's also started a new venture.  He's buying a local pizza place.  The old owner moved away and was trying to run it from 8 hours away but it wasn't working out so well.  My parents are actually putting up the money for the buisness but Matt is doing all of the day to day managing, advertising, and buisness building.  He's really enjoying it.  Seriously our government needs him.  He comes home everyday all excited about how he found a way to save money some new way.  It's worked out well though, Gideon still gets to stay at home, he has to go on deliveries with dad sometimes but he enjoys getting out of the house a little more often.

The pregnancy is going great.  I can't believe I'm almost done with my first trimester already!  I'll be 13 weeks in 2 days.  I feel great, no morning sickness, a little tired maybe but that's about it.  I had my first midwife appointment last Wednesday.  I really love her.  We go to her house for the appointments, which I was a little disappointed in at first but after being there I almost want to have my baby there instead.  Not really but her house is so welcoming and comfortable, it's very colorful, a little messy, and very earthy.  My son is normally very shy in new situations, he stays right by me and hides until he feels comfortable.  When we walked into her house he immedately started exploring and playing with her kids.

For the appointment she had two different kinds of teas prepared for me.  So we sat on the bed that's really a mattress on the floor and drank tea and talked about how things were going.  She did check my urine and everything was perfect.  She checked my blood pressure which was also very good.  Then she used a fetoscope to listen for the baby.  Neither of us were expecting to hear it this early but she found it right away and was able to hear the heartbeat.  She let me listen and I caught it for a second before Gideon decided it was his turn.  All that took about a half an hour and then we spent another half hour just talking.  Some about pregnancy and some about just random things.  It was really nice.  I feel like she really gives us a chance to connect.  I could give birth tomorrow and I already feel more comfortable with her than I did with my last midwife after 9 months!  During our conversation she mentioned she gets all her herbs for cheap because she's a practitioner and I can buy them from her at cost so I can make my own teas!  I'm pretty excited about that.  I had already wanted to make my own teas but I didn't know where I would get all the herbs. Now I can't wait for my next appointment!

So, things are going very well.  I'm on here a little more lately but not much.  I do miss all my friends!  I'll try and stay in touch a little better!
