There is a place, Where I alone can go
A place where no one knows, Not even you.
The spaces of my mind clouded, Visions blurry & feelings far and few between.
It is a place with no doors and no windows, Blocked so no one can see my soul.
This is a place where I alone can go.
In this place, I keep a box, Memories filled to the top.
Of times far better and loves i've lost.
Of hopeless matters, paid full in cost.
It's where my hopes and dreams are kept.
It's where my silent tears are wept.
This place of mine, Where no one knows, No one sees and no one goes.
Pictures burned, torn and tattered.
Here alone, I've sat broken and battered.
It's a familiar place to me, Where I can keep lost memories.
I can cry, I can bleed, I can blend, And I can feed.
My soul is hidden, apart from me, My soul is kept, Under lock and key.
Here in the spaces, I call my home, Here in this space, I'm not alone.
For here in this box, in the house, in this home, in this space, in this place, in this time, on this thrown.
On this pedestal, of lies and books, Of crooked smiles and dirty looks.
Here is where I keep myself, Away from you and in the dark.
But here is where you'll always be, in this place where no one goes, no one sees and no one knows.
