My Marcus Monster

Monday December 1, 2008 my little Marcus was born, 8 lbs 1 oz and 20 inches long. He defied everyone and overbaked for a week. I was induced yesterday morning at 9 and started having real contractions, I give props to any woman who goes natural you are tougher than I am!! After 3 hours I couldnt take it anymore and got my epidural, which is not bad at all. I dialated to a 9 pretty fast and then got stuck we did some practice pushes seeing if it would make me dialate, they ended up giving me more patosin. But soon enough it was time to push the doctor said 1-2 hours of pushing, after the first couple I was bound and determined that I wasnt pushing for no 2 damn hours. 8.5 hours of labor and 45 minutes of pushing and I held my baby for the first time. It was the greatest moment of joy I have ever felt in my entire life. Who knew? I cant get enough of him, he is the most beautiful baby I have ever laid eyes on. Now we are working on the breastfeeding, hes a licker not a sucker so its an expierence for him, my hubby and I. I had my hubby help and when he finally latched on good you could see the pride in his eyes. I cant believe 9 months have come and gone and now we finally have our Marcus Monster.
