Finally coming true...

This will likely sound silly to others, but I've always wanted a house of my own. I've had my own place(s) by way of renting and such, but never owned a home.

My first husband never wanted to buy a house because it was a commitment he never wanted to make with me.

My husband now and I had talked about it but nothing was happening. Then we decided to start looking around just for the hell of it. He decided to talk to the bank just to see if we even qualified for a mortgage and we do! After that we started looking a little more seriously, but nothing was right for us... it was either not what we wanted in a house or it was the wrong school district. A friend of ours told us about a house that was for sale in their neighborhood and we decided to take a look (its a good way to kill time on a Sunday afternoon). We figured it would be more of the same for us, so we weren't holding our breath. We went through the house and loved it, but deep down were afraid it wouldn't be affordable to us, so weren't sure what to do.

My husband spent the rest of the evening playing with numbers and making phone calls. We looked at the house again Monday, made an offer on Tuesday, got a counter offer and countered their offer and our second offer got accepted on Wednesday! I truly had something to be thankful for on Thursday!

Our closing is December 19th! Anyone want to help me move?!?! lol
