So, I spent most of Friday doing my Christmas shopping for my family. I was careful, and comparison shopped before hitting the "BUY IT NOW" key. I convinced my husband that getting outdoor riding toys for my 3 youngest kids would be fun, economical and there was no better time to get them than now. It's very hard to find things for my 7 year old that he will enjoy, and will get him away from his TV. (He has Down syndrome and Autism, a tough combo for finding the right toy at times!) But, I found a cute Quad ATV, that would hold his size and weight, and would be safe enough for him to ride with us fully supervising. And, the price was really good!

So, we bought it, I got my confirmation email, with all of my purchases on it, and was told that 2 of the items (also for my 7 year old) were backordered. It didn't say ANYTHING about the ATV being backordered! I've gotten emails from the same company telling me that the other 2 Quad ATV's were shipped (but they were smaller, and less expensive, so I wasn't surprised) and then got another email telling me much of the rest of the order was shipped. I KNEW the ATV I had ordered for my 7 year old would ship separately, and I was fine with that.

Today, I got an email apologizing for having to cancel the order of the ATV I'd ordered for my son. It's backordered, and no date is known for when it will be available. Gee, we're sorry that we're canceling your order. Gee, we're sorry that we've messed up your kids entire Christmas. Gee, we're so glad you spent so much money in our site, but your screwed.

Thanks KB Toys..... I'll remember this!

I've been there!  Nothing makes me madder when you order well in advance of Christmas to be told, "SORRY!"  Especially if they cancel the order.  Now you have to scramble to find something else equally appropiate.

Good luck, I hope you find something even better to take its place.

So sorry about your toy problem, have you tried Target, Walmart, or Toys R us! I know Toys R Us are a little more expensive but they always have eneough in stock, and so does Target!
