This is the post that got me thinking....

I wouldn't mind ALi being adopted for Christmas but on the other hand I feel bad , All the parents out there saying they NEED it.

I was thinking of starting a post instead to get Ali 1card and $1 from whoever wanted to send one , She loves cards and getting mail (finally a use for junk mail..hehe) Then I wouldn't feel like I was breaking anyone and they could still help others.

I have had the Christmas post for adoption bookmarked but still haven't signed up.

You have a wonderful heart. Are you looking to be adopted?

If you adopt a family that appreciates what you are doing it will not matter if the gifts are new or gently used. My daughter is 15 months old , She could care less. We got her a $12 gently used kitchen from craigslist , that's OUR present to her this year, that's it.

We had a $3 glow bug for her bud she got her first major BooBoo and we gave it to her early as a distraction.

Sure there was a list of things I may have liked to get her(stuff to go with her kitchen, big girl panties,a toddler bed, ect ) BUT the hot water tank went out and the part is costing $95 plus tax(The man is letting us pay 1/2 down and 1/2 next week) , Someone asked me the other day what I was getting my daughter for Christmas and I said a warm bath, and damn thankful for it too.

I think if people can't appriciate what you have to offer they don't deserve the kindness in your heart then.

It's the thought that counts , You will be blessed I'm sure, you sound like such a sweet careing person.

I'd like to get some opinions on adopting a family . Since I don't have a whole lot of money to spend I'm not sure it would be worth it. I know someone had said something about spending around $300, and I wouldn't be able to do that. I could send a mix of new stuff and hand me downs ,that would be in good condition, of course. It's just that some people only want all new stuff or gift cards.
