An Easy Way to Help Needy Kids This Holiday Season

Hi Everyone,

You may have already heard about the Santa's Workshop widget. It's the newest scavenger hunt game in which you help Santa build toys by searching for the parts needed to make them. Thousands of CafeMom members have been playing, and over 250,000 virtual toys have been created in just a few weeks.

Several players have suggested that this game would be even better if real toys ended up in the hands of kids. Well, we're happy to announce that, with your help, we're going to make that happen!

CafeMom will donate $1,000 to Toys for Tots once 500,000 virtual toys are created within the Santa's Workshop game. That might sound like a lot of toys, but we could get there in less than a week if everyone who logs in makes just a few toys.

In fact, we're so sure we'll hit that goal that we are going to set an even higher target.  If 1 million toys are created before Christmas, we'll donate an extra $1,500 to Toys for Tots -- $2,500 altogether!

yay! i lost motivation to play when i reached level 10, now im gonna go play some more! is there a way to see what the count is up too??

Shannony85 - Good question!  We will post the count of toys made in the group.  We'll start later today and keep it up-to-date.
