Saying Goodbye....

Today we are putting our cat to sleep. He is very old like 16 and he has stopped eating and drinking. My husband took him to the vet just now. James said  goodbye and gave him a kiss but I know he doesn't understand. He thinks Bobo is going to the vet "all night long" though I tried to explain it was forever. We are having him cremated and we are going to start looking for another cat to try to make the mourning easier on all of us and our other cat Jack. Here is Bobo...

He's a beautiful cat.  I'm sorry you have to put him down.  I remember how I felt when my cat died, and I hope your son won't mourn too much.

HE WAS A BEAUTIFUL CAT THAT HAD YOU ALL TO LOVE FOR 16 YEARS.  I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL, I HAD A 16 YEAR OLD CAT THAT DIED RECENTLY AND I BURIED HER IN MY YARD AMONG ALL THE OTHER ANIMALS THAT HAVE PASSED. I AM SO SORRY, I FEEL YOUR PAIN.

Aww he's so pretty :( I'm sorry you have to lose him. We had to put down my gray tabby two years ago, we'd had him for about 15 years. I miss him every day, it sucks not having a cuddle buddy.

Thanks ladies! My husband has the next couple days off so we are going to spend some time together as a family. We are looking into getting another cat. Jack our orange cat cried out earlier and James was so sweet..he said "whats a matter Jackie? you miss Bobie?" I think he understands more then we think. He keeps asking my husband if he is still sad....
