So I officially still have my job...for now *sigh of relief*. It is funny because even though I survived this round, I still feel down. It may be survivor guilt, or it could be that I am not that optimistic about my company's future. Whatever it is I walk away thinking...what a year!!
~Logan started walking @ 13 months...a blessing yet a sign that my baby is no longer a baby. I definitely prefer this to carrying that car seat carrier everywhere. Boy those things are heavy.
~My best childhood friend past away on Mothers Day. She was more like family than anything. I miss her like crazy and often wonder why God left her 1 year old son to survive her so early in his life.
~I got promoted! It was earlier in the year but noteworthy nonetheless. I think the fact that I expanded my responsibilities made me stand out when they started looking to cut resources. Lesson learned.
~A good friend of mine that works in my department got laid off. Poor woman came back to work on a Thursday from maternity leave to find out Friday that she no longer had a job. Apparently if companies are doing general layoffs nobody is safe.
~We finally sold the Mustang! That was the #1 worst decision I have ever allowed my husband to make. We put so much $$ into that thing and didn't even get close to what we wanted. We are letting a relative make payments on it. Learn from my experience.
~Gas prices were at all time highs earlier in the year and now look at them. I think I saw gas for $1.79 a gallon yesterday. It is really coming through for Christmas .
~Elections - Whoa! I am so glad they are over. I can actually go to work and feel comfortable. Cafemom is somewhat back to normal too. Only the new drama is the mixed cabinet that Obama is picking.
~Wallstreet - I don't know about you, but that was all I watched for the first month after it all went down.
~Big three automakers - This one is semisweet for me because I work in the automotive/trucking industry. What ever happens to these bozo's effects me, so of course I am mixed on bailing them out.
I know it is early, but my resolutions for next year are to:
~Paint the exterior of our house
~Pay off our credit card. We are almost there!!
~Learn to love exercise...I don't want to get crazy with it. I just want to look forward to doing it.

We have alot to be thankful for and hopeful for as well.
