My Debut Novel!

                I am anxiously awaiting the release of my first novel, Forsaking the Call.  There are no words to describe how excited I am about this!  It is a life-long dream coming true.

Forsaking the Call is the story of Joel and Hannah Hawkins.  After feeling called into the ministry as a teen, Joel has spent the past 15 years running from God.  Hannah’s only exposure to church or Christ has been through her best friend, Connie.  But after witnessing the event that led her future husband to turn his back on God, Hannah has had no use for the church.  Everything starts to change when Hannah discovers she is pregnant.  The pregnancy is difficult on her, leading Hannah to extended bed rest.  As she passes her time reading a Bible Connie has given her, Hannah finds herself being drawn more and more to God.  Her newfound faith puts a strain on her marriage.  Can Joel come to terms with his past and his God before he loses his family?

Not yet.  I am working with the local Christian bookstore to try to set up a signing there.  This afternoon, after my little one is down for a nap, I plan to record a video of me reading from the book to put on YouTube.  And I think I might have a signing next year at my church here in MI.  OH!!!  And a friend is working on setting up a signing at her church in TN.  So there are things in the works, just nothing set for sure yet.
