Do you like snow? Love it? Despise it? Well, no matter how you feel about the white stuff, it's a part of Wisconsin winters. And I, for one, LOVE it! Can't get enough of it.
Winters are sledding, and snowballs, snowmen, and forts, snow angels and snowflakes on tongues! Winter means mittens and scarves, snow pants and boots, jackets and layers! Winters are for hot cocoa and soup!
The magicof snow, as a kid, was a magnificent purple sky at night, SO bright that it outshined the street-lamps! When the ground was blanketed with snow, the Earth just seemed to quiet, as if the white blanket muffled it's usual sounds of hustle.
You might look out your window to see a squirrel digging for an acorn or birds sitting on phone wires, singing their winter song. Jack Frost may have left his mark on your bedroom window, with intricate design. The trees are insulated with fluffy, beautiful white, a sight that makes an old man shed a tear.
Big, fluffy flakes falling from the sky tonight, surely means a snowman tomorrow. Neighbor kids hide behind porches, waiting to catch their shoveling neighbors off guard.
The magic of winter is something you will only see when you are looking out your window or playing in the snow. You will only see it if you look with your heart and use your imagination! Winter is simply magic. Winter is, the magic of snow!
