Emma is two and addicted to her "bink" (pacifier). DH and I have been talking to her about giving it up after the holidays, she didn't think this was such a great idea. We were dreading what was going to happen when we took bink away.
Anyway, Sunday we were at my cousin's house most of the day of course she had bink with her. Had bink on the way home and when we got home. Fast forward to bed time, bink was no where to be found. This is not so unusual she sometimes drops it in a pile of toys, under the furniture, etc. DH brought her up to bed while I scoured the house from top to bottom. After searching for 45 minutes I gave up and then realized that she was asleep! DH then took over the search and came up empty.
Yesterday morning she asked where bink was. I told her it was still lost, she seemed OK with it. At nap time she asked if we could ask Santa to bring her a new one. lol! She went to bed fine without it last night too! Woohoo!
I'm very proud of her. I was so afraid she would have a melt down! She's been great.
