Ok, many people probably don't get so excited about snow. However, we live in Mamou, Louisiana, where it has not snowed since I've been born. This morning, while my husband was getting ready for work (4:15 A.M.), I noticed something on the cars. I went look out the door and they were covered in snow! And the snow was so beautiful falling from the sky! I went get some thermals on and went outside and watched it. Then, I came back in, got our digital camera, and started taking pictures. Then, one of my brothers and my sister came out from their apartment (right across the way) and we were just standing and talking about it. Then, another one of my brothers came home from work. Then, we started snowball fights! LOL It was SO MUCH FUN!!!! Hayden was sleeping in his swing the whole time. I thought it was too cold to take him out. He hadn't fallen asleep until 2:45 A.M., and I knew if I'd woken him up, he would have just been grumpy and he wouldn't have understood. That's why I took the pictures, so I'll always have them to show him how much it snowed in 2008. We also built a snowman-a nice sized snowman. I brought our camera out again and we all took pictures with the snowman! Of course, during the course of the day, all the snow has melted and everything is just cool and water. But this morning! All the snow in the trees and the snow across the field-so BEAUTIFUL! There is a house or two across the field and it looked like those Christmas cards-all white everywhere and just a few lights twinkling from the houses! Oh, I still CANNOT BELIEVE THIS!! I'll never forget how beauitful all that snow was.
