If so, try putting some form of citrus around your tree. Cats do NOT like citrus smells! You could try a bowl with orange peel, the old clove in the oranges ornaments, a citrus spray, etc. I happened to have a little bit of orange scented oil that I wiped over the stand and wiped a dab on a couple of the lower branches. So far, so good! I thought I'd share this tip in case anyone else was dealing with the anxiety of picturing your tree crashing to the floor because the kitty thought it would make a fun climbing toy!
