Kids & Christmas!!!!

Why is it every year like clockwork around Thanksgiving my kids who are normally very well behaved most of the year.  Well they seem to take on different personalities and don't listen to us or really fight with one another.  As the days get closer to Christmas the ornerier they get.  My 3rd child Lexi is being the worst hands down.  Shes my drama queen and I'm quite worried now when she starts K next year she will be in trouble and I will get called into the office for it.  Shes gotten more mouthier and bossy.  Yesterday when she didn't get her way she started calling me stupid head.  Well she did that to her daddy last nite well he definitely wasn't impressed with that.  I watched Noah go off to school this morning only to come back in to try to take her to school and meanwhile she had taken her coat and shoes back off and said she wasn't going.  Well momma won and she went.  I told her mommy needed a break for a bit she goes well my teachers don't want to deal with me either.  Hopefully we survive till Christmas.  I might run away before then.  I keep telling dh I am.  He said ok but be back before I go to work in the morning.  Nice real understanding.

My kids have been pushing me too.. My 8 yr old try to talk to me like I'm a friend and that does not fly with me.. My 4 yr old always screams and whines my son never does what he is told and Ashlyn is the little angel in the back ground of all the chaos..lol

Kids all go through this stage I think, they like to push our buttons. And mine are 14 & 11 and they are still pushing my buttons. My 11 yr. old keeps getting into trouble at school, just had the AP call us again today that he got in trouble at school & had detention today & Monday. I don't understand because he is such a good kid, but he's so easily influenced by his friends. He does so good in school too that I hate to see him get into trouble. All I can tell you is try to keep your cool with the kids because they just want to try and see if they can get you upset. I know it's hard not too, but sometimes I just walk away from them when they are upsetting me. GOOD LUCK GIRL!!!
