"Trolls"....now available on CAFE MOM. "Are you a fake Christian?"

I often remind myself and others that this site is not the exception to the cyber world.  We are apart of the internet ....The world wide internet.  This brings with it blessings and curses. 

One of the curses happens to be hoaxes, fakes, phonies, scams, cons and basic under- handed "opportunities".

I was shocked to learn of a current 'trend' of some members of cafemom.  I wanted to spread the word and try to help others with this information.

Some members have created fake accounts as 'Christians'.  They place bio info stating that they are bible study members, wives of pastors etc.....and then troll about cafe mom created havoc.  Apparently in an attempt to bring shame upon Christians and create a hostile environment for legitimate good hearted followers of Christ.

I am not speaking of those whom have not found the way...have drifted off course, are still learning what it means to be 'Christ like' or have hypactical tendencies.  This is another problem entirely.

If you come into contact with someone who claims to be a Christian, but acts in most inappropriate ways...Don't be afraid to call them out and ask them.  "Are you a fake Christian?"  If they are a real Christian, hopefully this question will help them to evaluate their actions.  If they are a 'fake'  ...they will be exposed!  Game Over!

 If more people are aware of the  'false prophets'  then they will be recognized and not taken seriously.   If they are called out, then they will not have any power.

What a sad game to play with others.  What sick minds to even contrive of this scheme. 

I pray everyday for God to bring these people into the light of the Lord.  Please join me in my prayers.

We cannot lead others to Christ with un-Christ like behaviors. 

It is easy to love our friends....even heathens do that...Christ asks us to love our enemies.

Feel free to pass the word.  Let others know about this 'hoax'.  Sadly, we must protect ourselves.

Seriously!?  That is just terrible....we already have enough people who give us a bad name...we don't need anyone else's help. Good grief. Thank you for this post.

UGH...is it me or has the Trolling Phenomena just become a norm on Cafe Mom lately? I don't remember it being this bad until the last few months. There seem to be pockets of people who just troll each others' posts and start the same damned argument over and over and over. It seems that no one can post ANYTHING anymore without the TROLLS showing up...and they exist on EVERY and ALL sides of these religious and philosophical arguments...they USED to be consrtuctive debates...not anymore....I am really sick of it and discouraged.....I hardly come on CM anymore because of this crap...it's just not fun anymore.....

Well thanks for posting this! I have found christian do have an awful name on here and it so sad! But on the other hand some christian do it to themselves. But I have found a christian group I really enjoy and so far i don't think any trolls. I tend to have a different view then most of the women in that group and none have been hateful. Its called Married christian in their 20-30. Something like that! But the troll thing is very sad!

Hmmm....so you have come across those who actually are not believers and have to plan to be, that just pretend to be Christians in order to try to make real (or seeking) Christians look bad? Weird. I have not come across this as far as I know.

I jsut think one would have to feel very poorly about themselves to find some kind of joy in doing something like this and they need the Lord more than anyone. I, for one, will be praying those would do somrthing like that.

Seems like a huge waste of time....nothing anyone would say pertaining to my faith could make me change it, nor could another "Christian" who is not walking the walk and giving the rest of us a "bad name." No one can give you a bad name....if you conduct yourself in the right way (keeping in mind we are all human and so imperfect) you don't really have to worry much about what anyone else is doing.

It's pains me to see other Christians treating others with contempt and judgement, but I don't allow it to reflect on me.

I guess in the case of "Trolls" for this purpose we just have to be careful who let on our friend's list.
