People can be so evil!!!

So my younger sister forwarded me this evil video a few days back and it's still messing with my head!!  I don't know if any of you have heard about this but 3 douche bags in Ukraine have been formally charged with the murders of 21 people over a period of one month.  They have been in jail for the last year but only now have they been charged with the murders.  Sounds like the typical stuff you hear all the time right?!  Well for all intents and purposes yes it is.  But what's really depressing about this story is these three trolls came from rich families and they got bored and decided it would really pass the time to start killing cats and move on up to unsuspecting people.  They video taped two of the people they killed and took over 300 photos.  One of the videoes is in circulation on shock sites all over the net.  I was unfortunate enough to be forwarded this video....I didn't make it past the first minute or so because it was so gruesome and I've seen some crazy videos before so that's saying a lot.  Even worse is that the photos as well as the videos clearly show their faces....smiling faces at that and their parents have gone public saying the charges are fabricated and they don't understand why their kids are admitting to it all!!!!  Unreal!  So I guess my question is as a parent to what extent would you stand behind your child?  Do you think you'd be able to stand by them through a situation like this or worse?

I couldn't vote based on those options because I agree with both of the first two. Right or wrong, I will always be their for my child... but defending them? NO WAY. I'm currently po'd at my own mom for not turning my brother into the police for stealing from her (and being a pathological liar). Son or not, she's just enabling him, and I have sworn I will not do that to my children. I love them too much to let them turn out like that. And if they still do... they can suffer the consequences!
