stupid friday.

Today was an all around horrible day. lets start at the beginning..

I had a big order I was shipping out.. so I had to take the kids to the post office or it wouldn'thave gone out until Monday. We bundle up (its coooooold out there!) hop in the car and off we go..

So we pull in to the parking lot and I get the stroller out... plunk Sid in, roll around to the other side to get Micah out, and this crazy lady in a GIANT SUV comes ROARING around the corner and despite the fact that an adult and a stroller with a TODDLER in it are in her way, almost runs us down! her DAUGHTER in the passenger seat screamed "MOM STOP" and she did, with barely a foot between me and her car.. I had managed to pick up the stroller and start to run, although I still don't know how I did it. . WHAT THE HELL! She HAD to see us, if she had been looking.. but she wasn't. Not at all. Her daughter was almost in tears.. she looked to be about 7 years old (and she shouldn'tbe in the front seat, dumb ass SUV lady!) and her DAUGHTER, after they parked elsewhere and walked by said "I'm sorry!" the mom just stared ahead and didn't even LOOK at me! I swear I almost called the cops because I thought the woman must be drunk to be driving like that and have her 7 year old take responsibility for HER actions!

My hackles were already up.. and I was already stressed but the day must go on so we walked into the post office and had to wait in a massive line, things went down-hill fast. I had a big package and Siddalee in the stroller.. and Micah was pulling my arm out of its socket.. his new trick is he " fake falls" while we are holding hands, to try and make me let go... cute trick, because sometimes he succeeds in actually pulling me down with him. Adorable. So the line starts backing up behind us... and there is this lady behind us that just keeps letting out these loud SIGH's every time I tell Micah to stop. Its pretty obvious she thinks I should just let him run around and do whatever the hell he wants.. YEAH, because that's great parenting... give me a break! Let me make it clear.. my son listens pretty well so my warning to him is a 1-2-3, and we hardly ever get to 3. So I said 1-2 about 3 times in all.. and finally he got on my last nerve and I got to 3. I told him he had to hold onto the stroller and sit still, and I used a really firm tone of voice... well this codger felt the need to glare at me and loudly go "Hes just being a BOY". Yeah. And you're just being a witch... to put it nicely.

Finally we're done and as the kids and I walk out, we stop and look for traffic.. its a busy little area... and again another GIANT suv comes ROARING off the main road into the parking lot and just blasts through the crosswalk, and shes TEXTING ON HER CELLPHONE, almost taking out a little old lady and would have certainly taken out me and my kids if I wasnt so cautious. She goes whipping into the parking lot and has this "oh shit" look in her eye when she realises she blasted past a crosswalk with 4-5 people in it.. and this young guy that watched it happen from his car starts yelling at her that she almost killed an old lady and some kids... what does she say in return? "F*ck you I dont give a sh*t you can eat my *ss" well.. Merry Christmas to you too, thanks for teaching my 3 year old some fun new words!!!

What is WRONG with people!!! Seriously?! Its the holiday season... there were at least 4 other strollers in that post office/parking lot and not just families, there are more people out and about in general! I know its frustrating not to get a "prime" parking space, I know everyone is in a "rush" to get that WII or whatever the hell it is that is so freaking important to you.. but you know whats more important than your schedule or whats under your tree? HUMAN-FREAKING-LIFE! So WATCH IT, MMMMKAY?! I cant imagine anything worse than knowing you killed or seriously injured someone because texting someone was SO damn important, you couldnt watch the road in a busy parking lot! I cant imagine being 5 minutes late wouldnt be worth it if you knew the consequence of being on time was you KILLED a child!

It gets better, folks. UPS man saw me in my bra... lovely. I was cooking in my bra.. I know, sounds weird.. but I was wearing a new top and I didntwant to get tomato sauce on it.. well our house is long and narrow so I guess he knocked up front but he remembered that we had a side door.. so he came to the side door which is in our dining room and knocked.. clear view into the kitchen where I am cooking in jeans and a bra... nice. But the kids got their "kika-coaster" as my son calls it (a Step2 kid-coaster from grandma for Christmas) and they wanted it set up right then and there... fine, whatever. I just want to finish dinner! Well... Siddalee apparently immediately forgot all "sharing" lessons and screamed for the rest of the night. Micah was very patient and tried to share, but she wanted nothing to do with sharing.. just screaming. She screamed so much she didnt even get her turns... which made her scream more.

To top the night off, my husband was in a CAR ACCIDENT! Friday nights, there is just something about them in Utah.. the drivers here seem to just lose all ability to function properly. Some jerk swiped him, but luckily only their tires hit and my husband thinks it will be fine.. alignment is OK but his "rims" are all scratched up on that side. The kid that hit him gave us all his info but I dont think we will even put in a claim.. they are standard "factory" rims and my hubbs could care less if they are scraped up, as long as the alignment is OK and all that. It just pisses me off.. he said he saw the guy on his cell phone and was looking right at him trying to avoid him when the guy came into his lane but my hubby was sandwiched in, theres a ton of construction in the area by Lagoon and he had people all around him so he couldnt swerve.

I HATE this season. I love the holidays and being with friends and family but I cant stand going shopping this time of year.. I cant stand being on the roads with all the idiot drivers, aggressive drivers, and drunk drivers... I cant stand how rude people are and how MEAN they are to employees at stores.. I cant stand how depressed everyone is this year because they cant buy as much meaningless crap.. get over it! You can EAT, you have a HOME, be thankful for what you DO have! Oh and stop complaining you cant buy a freaking WII. They are popular, they are sold out, GET OVER IT!!! And while your at it, how about taking that 300 dollars in WII money and buying gifts for 10 needy children? I bet that $30 each could make a big difference in their lives!! SELFISH POOFY HAIRED WALMART WOMEN! AH!!!

wow. so is it totally apparent I am in a horrible no good really bad mood? lol. I need my mommy, and a cup of tea.

 

ugh. I feel much better now. sorry. vented... all better.

Wouldn't it be great if all those selfish people you encountered could read this post?? One morning while sitting in traffic ,I'd had enough!!! I yelled at the man next to me--"Is it worth you killing someone to make it to work 5 minutes faster than everyone else in this jam??? You Ignorant SOB!!!"It was soooo liberating.LOL
