So I'm here in the PNW listening to the newscast, feeling safe and warm and hoping the snow doesn't stick where we live. Our house is at about 500 feet, so if it actually makes it to the city, we get the sticky wet icy stuff. It doesn't happen often, so the city gets a bit overprepared. Sometimes we laugh because the kids think they're getting off school, and then all we get is cold rain! But I'm stocked up on the things that matter: brown sugar, flour, and chocolate chips. Life is great!
