Who deserves your love?

Who actually deserves to be loved by you?

Is it only the person/people who love you back? I am not talking romance.....I am talking unconditional, no matter what love.

Who deserves to be blessed by you? Is it only the ones who share your ideals? I am not talking money or presents....I am talking kind words and encouragement.  Not so easy to do, huh? It is so much easier to just light into someone and give them what for. It is so much easier to turn our snobby noses up at them and let them know all the reasons why what they think is wrong.But to say a kind word and try to understand that indeed they are human and capable of making mistakes would go so much further. Just because you utter a kind word...or even leave them alone instead of bashing them....does not mean you AGREE with them. It means that you are rising above and going by "live and let live" because that is what you would like as well. (to live and let live, I mean) 

Who deserves to receive a hug when you would rather knock their lights out?  My friend has a difficult son. And she sometimes loses her patience with him. But one day in the midst of a conflict, she just grabbed him and hugged the mess out of him. That hug did more for BOTH of them than any lecture or punishment would have.  Her flesh was crawling when she started to hug him. She wanted to just knock some sense into him. But when she did what was best for the WHOLE situation and not jsut what would make HER feel better....the results were amazing.

Who deserves your respect? I do not mean "tolerance"...that has become such a funky word to me lately. Just because of the way it is thrown around. I am talking respect as a human being.  The problem with respect is that everyone wants it, but it is so hard to give out unless someone believes exactly the way you do. Be honest....it can be hard to respect someone who believes so OPPOSITE of you. You have NO CLUE why or how they could possibly view things that way. BUT, IMO, I have to give respect to get it.  It is  such a precious commodity, isn't it?  I respect anyone and everyone. I will not lie....I do have some times when it is extremely difficult. But if I want their respect I MUST GIVE respect. 

So today, I need to focus not so much on myself.....and start looking outward to what areas I have been lacking and step it up a notch!!!

These are just my opinions for MY life. Just felt like journaling them.......

Soemtimes it can be harder to offer a kind word or a hug then it is to be mad. Nevertheless we should all strive to do ur best to show our fellow man the love, compassion and understanding that we ourselves woudl like to be shown.

You got that right, Kristi!!! That is what I was thinking about when I wrote this. It is sooooo much easier for me to blow up, than to stop myself swallow the harsh words and utter the kinder ones. Something I WILL be working on today.......

So True----And Tolerance is an empty word when used as a shield.
