The interview with John Walsh today was so heartbreaking...I am thankful to God that little Adam's case has been solved and the family can have some closure. Twenty-seven years is a long time to miss your child and grieve and never know what happened.

Police: 1981 murder of Adam Walsh solved
Boy's father later gained fame as the host of 'America's Most Wanted'
HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - Authorities in South Florida announced Tuesday that they've finally solved the 1981 killing of Adam Walsh, whose father later gained fame as the host of "America's Most Wanted."
Hollywood police held a news conference to close the case of the abduction and homicide of 6-year-old Adam. They identified the boy's killer as Ottis Toole, a drifter who confessed to the murder, then recanted before dying in prison in 1996. Toole's niece told the boy's father, John Walsh, her uncle gave a deathbed confession.
Adam's parents, John and Reve Walsh, long ago derided the investigation as botched. Both attended a news conference and gave a tearful account of what's it's been like not knowing for decades who killed their son.
The boy went missing from a Hollywood mall on July 27, 1981. Fishermen discovered his severed head in a canal 120 miles away two weeks later. The rest of his body was never found.
Walsh said he never had any doubt that Toole was the murderer, even though it took decades to confirm. At the time of the killing, some key evidence had been lost and DNA testing had not yet been developed.
"For us it ends here," Walsh said.
Over the years, Toole had claimed hundreds of murders, but police determined most of the confessions were lies.
Have a Blessed day,

I didn't know it had been solved. I feel so bad for that family, and any family that loses a child, but I am thankful that they finally have some closure.
Saw that on the news today. So sad. However, I am glad that it's done, and the family might be able to have some sense of closure as much as it still hurts.
I'm glad I didn't have to go through what his family had endured, hope this will bring some closure
I am so happy for the Walsh's to finally have some closure but am sad at the same time, I just cant imagine what they have gone through all this time. I am also so proud and thankful to John Walsh for all that he has done after his son was murdered. Many criminals have been put behind bars because of him!
Yes, I am so thankful that they know what happened and that they finally have closure. I think it is really wonderful everything that John Walsh has been able to do to help others. His little Adam's death was not in vain. Because of Adam and his Father lots of criminals have been stopped and put behind bars.
Thank you all for your comments.
Have a wonderful day today and be Blessed.

I have long admired John Walsh for his activism. When I think of something like that happening to one of my daughters, it makes me queasy, and I can't imagine going on. I think I'd just curl up in a little ball and die. For him to have taken his grief and channelled it into the passion he has for stopping vicious criminals, along with lobbying for important legislation, is the mark of someone who possesses true courage and resiliency. I have deep respect for him and hope that this finding in his son's case does give him and his wife a measure of peace.
It's amazing what John Walsh has done for so many people. After what he went through, it's inspiring to see him working so hard to help others. This story absolutely broke my heart yesterday. I'm glad they'll have some closure though, and finally be able to put it to rest.
I didn't even know that was the reason he started the show...
I'm glad he got some peace.
