As a "Certified Christmas Crazy Person"?
Because if there is, I must be in the running for it!
First let me apologize for my absence. It has been a mixture of the following.
1) Christmas prep..you know the routine. Gifts to buy, Plays to attend, Cleaning to be done..etc..etc. I would put wrapping in there too, but in our house Scott does all the wrapping (which he has not accomplished yet!) I gotta say, he should have been an elf! He wraps better than one! LOL!
2) A little conviction about wasting too much time online.
3) And a bit of a funk. I have found myself in one. I have my shovel! I'm on the slow 'dig' at the moment.
Other that that, all is well.
The girls are really excited for the big day. They sing Christmas carols non-stop.
We had a set back today, but it turned out ok. I am looking for the positive here.
I got Ireland off to school and no sooner do I start on my daily routine...I had high hopes of getting my house cleaned and ready as we are having Christmas here tomorrow for Scott's side of the family. And Scott tells me our roof is leaking! AND then...out went the power! I'm not sure exactly why..something about a transformer. Our weather was not bad. Just a ton of rain...hence the roof leak.
The school called so I had to pick Ireland up since the power was out. My day was done....my planned day anyway. However, my SIL called and invited us over to make Christmas cookies. So, off we went.
The girls had a blast and I even got to sneak out to Target by myself and pick up a few things. After that I took the girls to the dollar store. Every year, I let them do their Christmas shopping for their grandparents there. It is very funny...I let them pick up whatever they see 'fit'. The grandparents get a HUGE kick out of it.....today they bought an bunch of FUNNY stuff! One of my favorite parts of Christmas day is to see the reaction that they get.
After that, we picked Scott up and headed to Applebee's for dinner. Then to Walmart to buy the food for tomorrow. I have a busy day ahead tomorrow. But in the end it will be fun!
I hope you all are well! I miss you a ton!
I wish you all a very ~MERRY CHRISTMAS~
