Digging out from under ice...lots and lots of ice. My mom asked me to run out and get something stupid from the gas station... I'm like "OK... I'll get out of the house for a few minutes..." So I started the car, turned on defrost and went to feed the animals. Then came inside for a good ten or 15 minutes. Went back outside to a still solid ice car... scraped and brushed and picked (beat) away at ice for another 20 minutes...finally broke wipers free...but I think there is ice under them, so they're not moving (grrrr), so I finally back up and can't pull forward... SCREW IT! At what point is it OK for me to throw in the towel and say "I just can't do it!"? I went inside and told her and she didn't say anything. I answered for her and said "Now would be a good time to say, 'Oh, its ok, if its that bad out, I don't want you going anyhow! Its not worth it.' " And she's like "I didn't say anything..." No Kidding... maybe you should have said something... "Thanks for trying." "Learn to drive, Idiot." Something? Anything? GRRRRRR Family is bugging me right now. And I'm sliding all over the place out there (on foot), while trying to get ice off the car... SOOO frustrating... no thank you or anything. I just don't treat ANYONE like that...
