it seems that not a day goes by that i am not purely entertained by their view of the world and all the "stuff" of life.

on the way home from my secret shopping assignment today and bill's "window shopping" at IKEA, wishing for things we can't even afford from them right now, we were listening to Christmas music.  Yet another rendition of Santa Claus is Coming to Town came on.  The part about Santa knowing & seeing everything came and Jonathan started ranting & raving in his usual sarcastic humorous approach and says, "that's creepy!  i don't WANT SC knowing everything i do. does THAT mean he sees me naked?  huh?  that's just not cool.  so creepy."

at home afterward, eating lunch, the two cats, Sinci & Spirit, started getting it on in front of the sliding glass doors.  i'm in the kitchen getting something and hear, "ewwwe, groooosss!" coming from the dining area.  Spirit is licking Sinci's ear and he's loving every minute of it.  before I could get my phone to snap a pick, Zachary rushes over for a close-up look, breaking up the moment, sending Sinci running.

a few minutes later, the two cats are back together, playing, and at one point they are facing each other.  Spirit starts attempting to slide her girl-paw around Sinci's neck.  and Jonathan says, "ahh, she's doing the move," at which point Christopher demonstrates with me.

and finally, Jonathan goes to Sinci a little later, and exams her odd eyes (she's mostly blind).  he noticed that in one eye it looks like she has no pupil.  he thought for a minute and asked, "how come we can't spend more money on taking care of sick animals than war?"  i coulda hugged him.

of course, just this morning they were playing war games.  go figure.  i love boys!

I totally agree...boys are so much fun.  They are simplistic and deep at the same time.  Violent one minute, loving and nurturing the next.  Then they grow up to be awesome men.  My boys and some of the neighborhood boys spent the day making go carts out of packing boxes and skateboards.  they cam home stinky. bloody, dirty and happy.  Another day in boy heaven!  Have a great week (I hear we might get rain again).  ~MiChelle
