Holiday b-day's

My son's birthday is the 20th of Dec, my cousin's b-day is the 19th and my fiancee's SIL is the 18th!! For my son this year was his 1st birthday so we had him a party the weekend before his birthday. My cousin usually plans her own thing. She might go out shopping for herself with the family or out to eat. My soon to be SIL does her own thing with her husband. I think we are going to have a birthday party for my son every year even though it is so close to Christmas. I don't want his birthday to be not special just because it's so close to the holidays.

My oldest son's b-day is Jan. 4th. We have ALWAYS had something to mark it as special! It used to be a birthday party when he was little, now he has friends over and we take them out to eat. It doesn't matter how close it is to a holiday it is a special time for him.
