If you look on your homepage, you will see the poll for today. It is asking if you have any holiday traditions that you will be active in.
After skimming through the choices, I made my vote. Funny. Here my main tradition was partaken last night.
Yes, it is one that I am passing down to my children as well. Thus far, it has been well recieved. In fact, it has been for about the last six years or so. It all started with my oldest child, who is now nine.
Every year as a child, my mother would watch out for the broadcasting of The Grinch Who Stole Christmas. And every year, my mother, my father and I would all sit in the living room and watch the special on our television. I was glued to that TV.
Now, I am doing the same with all three of my children. And like I was at their ages, they to were staring at the television, watching for what the Grinch would try next.
As a matter of fact, I have my own little Cindy-Lou Who. Don't think so? Look at this picture and tell me otherwise...

The picture of Skyler was taken at Christmas time of 2007. And she hasn't changed too much since last year. Now, do you see the resemblance to Cindy-Lou Who?
After really looking at it I was amazed at just how much her and the "Grinch" character looked alike. Kind of freaky if you ask me!
In all seriousness again.... I may not be the craftiest mommy in the world. But this is one tradition that I have carried on from my childhood, on to my children, and hope that they to will do the same.
It is actually one of the few and fondest memories that I have left of my mom. To sit there, altogether in that living room, watching "The Grinch Who Stole Christmas".
So, if you have a holiday tradition to pass down to the next generation, please do so. Because they will be the ones to carry us on as well in the process.

scoobystone1 , merry Christmas my dear friend!! And that is one thing mom did NOT pass down in the genes. I can't cook well enough to save a dog. Love to you and yours!
halfadozenofem , also a niece took a lot after Cindy-Lou as well. Even last night, I had seen my niece in her, lol. Merry Christmas to you and your family as well. May many blessings come your way.
She is a total Cindy-Lou Who! I love the Grinch, too, although my daughter prefers the Jim Carrey one, because it was the first one she saw. And that's okay because that one is good too. Enjoy your time with your family and Merry Christmas from me!
Merry Christmas and love to you as well tracy20 and dsteiner23!!
I told you,lol...She is so Cindy-Lou-ish, it's freaky. And I am way more partial to the cartoon version. I am sorry, but Jim Carrey (to me) ruined the Grinch.

I have to agree with you there.......
