My Holidays!!!

My holidays this year have been very hard. I'm lucky because Dennis is home. They made him work Thanksgiving but we got past that. Yesterday morning the phone rings. It's my brother-in-law. Their mother past away at 4:30 that morning, Christmas Eve!! Dennis went to the ship & they extended his leave so he can take care of things. Then he comes home & I have to rush him to the ER in Portsmouth because he is having a kidney stone. As of right now he is staying in Virginia. There will be no service because she didn't want one. She wanted to be cremated & "dumped" (her words) over water. So we are planning on getting together this summer & doing just that. Right now Dennis is in pain & doesn't know how to handle things from down here. We are just hoping for a quiet day today. We are eating dinner on the ship & that's about all. I hate to say things won't get worse but that's not true!!! Merry Christmas everyone!!!
