My 3 year old, Ava has been having what we think are slight anxiety attacks.  I used to have them as well when I was a kid, but remember them being quite different.  It seems that her Montessori School is putting on a "End of the Year Performance" and Ava was given a few lines.  When prompted to say her lines, her face gets red, she begins to cry mildly and claims she doesn't feel good and has to throw up.  This is not the only time this happens.  She does it on the way to school in the mornings, and she does it when introduced to people she hasn't seen in a while.

Can someone shed some light on this?  I have attempted to talk to her about it, but I don't want to make a big deal out of it for her either.  I want to bring as little attention to the situation as possible, but still make her feel like she can overcome whatever fear she is having.
