I just came home to find out that our Bull Terrier has eaten another one of our Direct TV remotes.  This makes 5!  The darn things cost $15 and I am starting to grow rather tired of her expensive habit.  Uggghhhh!  It is partly our fault...sometimes we forget to put them out of her reach, but come on...it can't taste that good!  This must be some sort of behavioral issue.  Between her, and our possessed Jack Russell, we could totally use Caesar's (The Dog Whisperer) help right about now!!!

LOL........only b/c I was going to mention the Dog Whisperer and then I kept reading and you did. I watch him, all the time. I don't even have dogs ! He has good advice. Good luck. Put a post-it note on your door, or with your keys to remind yourself, to hind the remote?

It is weird because she won't touch the TV remote but she loves the Direct TV one.  It could very well be a button fetish....LMAO!

The sticky idea is a great tip.  I am going to try that one...but first thing is first, we need a new remote.

Yikes!! and lol...  I love that show with Victoria Stillwater (something like that lol)  The show is called  It's me or the dog!  I get lot's of great tips and idea's from her... We have 5 dogs... We recently had to put one of our guy's down (we had 6)  If you want to know more about our Batman that's in puppy heavy I do have a post about him and what happed!

Sticky notes, come in handy...place them in several places...OR Baby gate's up in the doorway to your livingroom, that's what we do...baby gate's go up when we are not home and they can only go in certain rooms while we are not home!

Best of luck!

Haha. I mean, sorry you have to keep replacing them.

I can't imagine why your dog would want the remote SO bad. Anyways, you may just have to resign yourself to hiding it daily.

I just glanced at my DirecTV remote... and I just don't see the appeal.  My Dish Network remote looked much tastier.

On second thought, the nice rubber backing of this remote WOULD probably feel neat... *raises remote to her own mouth*

I guess you have a point!  The T.V. remote that she does not touch is hard plastic.  That is probably why.

~LMAO because here we are trying to get into the psyche of a dog~

What IS IT with DOGS???  Honestly, how delicious could a TV remote taste??  My dogs are like SHARKS... they just go around and EAT EAT EAT everything that they can possibly put in their mouths.  Its insanity!!

Once my dog got ahold of some raw chicken.  He was sick for weeks.  Do you think he learned his lesson??  HELL NO.  Stupid freakin animals... according to the laws of natural selection, they should be extinct by now.

And cat turds.  WTF is up with eating cat turds??  geeze I hate dogs.

Your dogs look too innocent to be guilty of that. lol  I know how you feel, I have one that does the same thing.
