Did you know that January is Cervical Health Awareness Month?
If you haven't scheduled your yearly pap -
make sure you add that to your "To Do" list for 2009.
And if you ever had an abnormal pap smear - it's more important than anything else to keep up with your doctor appointments.
If you'd like to talk to CafeMom members who are going through cervical health issues - then join Mom's Fighting Cervical Cancer.
You'd be surprised how many women are going through the same thing!

Thanks for the post. I always put mine off I will be sure to schedule it soon!
I just had my annual pap smear and my very first mammogram! OUCH! It feels good to know I am taking care of my body! Thanks for the reminder!
I have had a history of abnormal pap smears, and this past January I was diagnosed with an early stage cervical cancer. There is such good treatment available to me; I look forward to being healthy again.

Thanks for posting this, I've had a few abnormals which always scare me. The follow up's end up A-okay, but thinking I could have cancer always freaks me out.
Ladies it's important to get checked yearly and don't forget your boobie check up too !
