New Years Day - 2009

Wow, 2009 already!  Where has the time gone? The girls are 20 months, and continue to amaze me every day. They're talking up a storm, saying well over 100 words each. They're putting 2 & 3 words together. My husband and I are having such fun with them.  They have developed such wonderful personalities.

Kate is my little book worm. That girl could read books all day. She can often be found sitting quietly on the floor in her room, flipping through books. As soon as she spots me, she brings me books to read. These days with so many kids being addicted to TV, her love of books makes me so proud.

Maddy is my little tease. She calls for me, then starts taking off...wanting me to chase her.  She'll often pretend to give me a bite, then quickly put it in her own mouth. Maddy likes to be where the action is.  She'll follow me around the house, getting into things she knows are bad. What a smart little monkey!

I find myself reflecting back on 2008 and everything that happened (A 1st birthday, the death of my father in law, the exciting purchase of a new house).  I wonder what 2009 will bring us?  No matter what happens, I know Kate & Maddy will continue to grow closer and watching the bond between them form is such an amazing sight.

LOL!  Happy New Year!  Maddy sounds like my Brian.  :-)
