HAPPY NEW YEAR MOMMAS!
How are you? I hope you're doing well. As for me, I am fat. Last year, I set great goals, and I met most of them. However, due to some medical issues, I didn't get the results from the time that I put in. After struggling with depression because of it, I am stepping back up to the plate. Last January I weighed 260. I had gotten down to 238 by August, but then I got sick and the hormones they put me on bloated me right back up to 258 ,... it only took six days to put back on 2 pant sizes. It's taken me three months to flush all the junk out of my system, but my body is starting to work normally again and is able to drop weight. However, because of the holidays and parties and whatnot, I have only been maintaining that 258. But hey, I started once before, I learned how to commit my time and my diet, and I'm doing it again!!!
Time to CHANGE the SHAPE I'm in!!!! I'm thinking less circular and more of an hourglass. What about you? It's been awhile since I've seen that shape in the mirror .... about a decade, if not a little more. It's time for my thighs to thin out, my belly to stop resembling Santa's and start resembling a six pack, and my chin to once again be lonely without the other two chins I've provided it with for company. I can't wait!!!
My game plan:
ChaLEAN Extreme should arrive by January 12th, so between now and then I am going to do my week of fasting and walking, then a week of yoga, then start seeing those results!!!! The reason I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO excited about it is that in the test group, very obese women (like myself) saw amazing results. The workouts weren't too hard for them! Many of them lost SIXTY PERCENT of their body fat in ONLY 90 DAYS! WOW!!!!

Well, I'm 23.5 weeks pregnant and have only gained 4 pounds as I started this pregnancy at 5'8.5 inches tall and 258 pounds. I am hoping to not gain more than fifteen, and then to lose weight after! We'll talk after this baby comes:) In the meantime, keep up the good work. You can do it!
I joined Curves in October and although I've only lost about 6 lbs I've lost inches and it's noticeable. My clothes fit differently and hubby comments on the changes he sees in my body. I am gaining muscle and eventually -by spring I imagine the weight will come off when I start biking and walking along with the curves workout.
Keep it up mama, it's worth it - Be a healthy mama !
i love your journal post...it is sooo incredibly motivating!!!! i am so with you...i'm working w/ two different weight loss groups on here (obviously PLPC is one of them) and i'm hoping the extra challenges and motivation will get me off my booty. i'm starting first thing in the morning...
Lisa, I'm with you. Even if it means me coming down for a visit once a month. I can do that. You are such an awesome individual and you deserve this. Not only for your family but for yourself. I'm on week 3 of CE and love it. I've got 23 days until I resubmit my story so for the next 23 days I will be following the nutrition plan as closely as possible. We can do this together.
You are much braver than I:) I'll say it in this comment, I weighed in this morning at 285...it's been higher before, but I'm still not very happy. I started working out today. Much luck to you!!!
It sounds like your ambition and motivation is right where it should be, good for you! The only thing I would suggest is to remember that there is NOTHING wrong with baby steps....it is great to know what you want to accomplish and then to move towards it, but you also need to remember and keep in mind your weaknesses. Don't set yourself up for failure by depriving yourself of too many things that you have been used to for so long. Gradually break away from all your bad habits so that your body will be able to set your free more easily. I know that you are a strong willed woman and I KNOW that you will be able to accomplish your goal of losing this weight, I have no doubt in my mind! I am here if you ever need a push or two! I am right there with ya girl!
