Deco's are down!

We took ours down today so they have been up for nearly 3 weeks. Really they should be all down by the Twelfth night which is 5th January according to tradition.

We have an artificial tree which had to all be taken apart and the branches folded to fit in the box. There's a special art to it I'm sure LOL. The lights were completely tangled up too. I bought a few new tree decorations but seem to find it difficult to throw away the old tatty ones *sigh*

OH's birthday is tomorrow which is another reason why we take cards down by then. We have this discussion every year that we've got less cards than the previous Christmas so have a proper count up before they go to recycling. What does anyone else do with theirs? I do keep a few special ones and those with notes written in. When I was a child I used to cut out the pictures and stick them in a scrap book.
