THE HARD TRUTH ABOUT ISRAELI "OCCUPIED TERRITORY"

6 "I will strengthen the house of Judah and save the house of Joseph. I will restore them because I have compassion on them.  They will be as though I had not rejected them; for I am the Lord their God and I will answer them.  9 Though I scatter them among the peoples, yet in distant lands they will remember me.  They and their children will survive, and they will return.  10 I will bring them back from Egypt and gather them from Assyria. I will bring them to Gilead and Lebanon, and there will not be room enough for them.”  - Zechariah 10:6,9-10

In light of the fact that many in the world are calling for the establishment of an independent Palestinian Arab nation within the borders of Israel, I felt it important to share some information about Israeli "occupation".  The truth is, the Palestinian Arabs have no ancestral claim to any portion of Israel.  The Arabs living in the West Bank and Gaza Strip are the same Arabs that live in Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, etc.  The claim that they are being oppressed by "Zionist occupiers" is ludicrous on two counts.  First, Israel is land that God covenanted to the Jews thousands of years ago, and Biblical prophecy tells us that they get their home back.  We've been witnessing the fulfillment of that prophecy since 1948, when Israel became an independent nation.  Furthermore, if you will simply look at the map and statistics below, you will see that Israel can hardly be called an "occupying force".

ISRAEL IN THE ARAB WORLD

Jewish Nations in Middle East:   Israel

Arab Nations in Middle East:  Algeria, Bahrain, Djibouti, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Mauritania, Morocco, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, Tunisia, United Arab Emirates, Yemen

Geographical Area*

Israel including Gaza and West Bank:

approx. 10,800 square miles

Arab nations:  approx. 5,368,500 square miles

Population, Total*

Israel (including West Bank and Gaza, both Arab and Jew): approx. 5,700,000

Arab Nations:  approx. 203,393,000

Population Density*

Israel:  approx. 525 people per square mile

Arab Nations:  approx. 38 people per square mile

As you can see, the area occupied by the Jews is a miniscule fraction of the area of the Middle East.  In fact, the area of Israel is only two-tenths of one percent of the area of the Arab nations.  Yet Israel has a population density FOURTEEN TIMES that of the Arab nations.  If the Arab countries want to help the Palestinian Arabs, why don't they offer them some land?

If you believe reports that the Palestinian Arabs only want control over the West Bank, think again.  In a televised interview with a Hamas spokesman recently, the reporter asked him if the suicide bombings against Israeli citizens would stop if an independent Palestinian state were created.  He casually replied, "We cannot stop until we have driven all Israelis into the sea."  This is not a conflict about a small piece of land.  This is a conflict in which the Arabs wish to drive all the Jews from the Middle East.  You'll notice the Palestinian Arabs did not commit homicide bombings in the name of independence when they were under the control of Jordan.  The following quote further illustrates this point.

"In Islam, if your enemy occupies a small piece of your land, then you have to declare jihad against the enemy.  Jihad becomes a must and a religious obligation on all Muslims to go and fight the enemy…women must go for jihad without taking permission from their husbands, slaves without taking permission from their masters, boys without taking permission from their fathers.  Palestine is occupied by the enemy.  The occupation of Palestine shouldn't be dealt with as a regional one but as an Islamic obligation, because occupation of any Islamic land is a violation to the Sovereignty of Islamic world." -- Ahmed al-Kufahi, member of the Islamic Action Front(IAF), at the AIP Conference in Chicago, Illinois in 1997.

As you can see, the lofty goal of the Arabs - specifically the Muslims, is the total annihilation of the Jews, and complete control of the Middle East.  The Bible has something else to say about the fate of Israel though, and the fate of those that align themselves against her.

This is the word of the Lord concerning Israel. The Lord, who stretches out the heavens, who lays the foundation of the earth, and who forms the spirit of man within him, declares: 2 "I am going to make Jerusalem a cup that sends all the surrounding peoples reeling. Judah will be besieged as well as Jerusalem. 3 On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves. 4 On that day I will strike every horse with panic and its rider with madness," declares the Lord. "I will keep a watchful eye over the house of Judah, but I will blind all the horses of the nations. 5 Then the leaders of Judah will say in their hearts, 'The people of Jerusalem are strong, because the Lord Almighty is their God.'

– Zechariah 12:1-5

This is the very first and very ignorant sentence of what you posted above.  The first of many ignorant statement.  First off, Israel was established on the land of Palestine!  So we, the true defenders of Palestinians, do NOT recognize a country called Israel, as that land was stolen from the Palestinians.  About the "ancestral claim"..... the Palestinians were happy and prosperous living in their homes and running their business, when they were kicked out and herded into refugee camps!

So do you have any ancestral claim to the house you are living in right now?  If not, maybe you should be herded into a refugee camp.  In this country it is called an "Indian Reservation".  But for it to be equal to what the Israeli's do to the Palestinians, we would have to never let you leave, and then starve you, not provide you electricity, and not give you any medicine when you get sick.  Would you feel good about that???

This is what you support.  You smile so sweetly in your picture, but underneath you are no more than an ugly Zionist supporter.  Pitiful.

I suggest you evaluate your own heart before assuming what is in mine.  The fact that you call me a Zionist supporter shows the attitude of your heart is no better than the people who burn Israeli and U.S. flags in the streets.  Hate breeds hate.

I am for peace.  God is for peace.  If Muslims are really for peace, then they would get these terror groups under control.  But, they don't.

This debate of whose land is whose goes back to Ishmael and Isaac.  I support what the Bible says regarding God's promises to Israel through the lineage of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.  The land is rightly theirs and it only makes sense that they should defend themselves against attacks, especially this latest one.  Hamas broke the cease-fire, not Israel.

Yes, the destruction of war is sad, but peace can happen if people would just choose it.  God loves EVERYONE and wants everyone to be in right relationship with Him through Jesus Christ, but God is also Holy and Just and His promises will be fulfilled.

Not that palestinians never existed or never had claim to that land, but many are no longer decendants of palestinians, but palestians who immigrated from nieghboring countries of NON palestinian decent recently. Was also wondering if you do not recognize Americas right to existance? Several other countries around the world have been replaced several times.

Would you feel good about that???I dont beleive she commended the founding of Israel. Infact, it looks like she supports a PALESTINIAN state. To be equal to what so and so did to so and so...So, would you support Southern Israel randomly firing rockets into Gaza in the attempts to hit innocent civilians? Correct me if Im wrong here but when did they close the border? Ohh after Hamas gained control. Wait, were they the ONLY ones who closed the borders? What, Egypt did to? Wow, well then Egypt must ALSO be partly to blame. I guess they must be zionists too! Im sure that since Israel hates palestinians and wishes them all dead, they wont allow any aid trucks to reach them...oh wait, again, Israel DID allow humantiarian efforts to reach them! Oh wait....and why arent they recieving MORE aid from the egyptian side??

And, what have the Paletsians, as a people, done to better themselves? It seems to me that they have been the loudest when it comes to condeming Israel to death. And finally, you prove your point, by calling names. Becuase anyone who has a diffrent view point must, MUST be bent on destryoing thepalestinian people as well.

This is what you support.  You smile so sweetly in your picture, but underneath you are no more than an ugly Zionist supporter.  Pitiful.

I think instead of trying to insult someone, you should actually read thier entire post and base your argument off the entirety.

I thought it was a good post, and had a view point I hadnt thought of before, Thanks!

The Holy Land is mainly all the land between the Nile and the Euphrates.

If the Zionists want to base their argument about “Israel” having the right to exist or not, over the religious claim, and if we accept it, it would be catastrophic; because that would mean that later, they will give themselves the right to conquer all the rest of the Holy land, -including Syria, Lebanon, Trans-Jordan, Egypt and more- claim that they have a religious right to expand “Israel”, and support it by the world’s consent over their religious claim concerning Palestine.

The Zionists using the religious argument to support the claim that “Israel” has the right to exist on Palestine means one of two things:

1- They are not really religious and Do Not Truly Believe in the Promise , since they are accepting a very small part of the Promised Land, when they believe God told them they have the right to have it all. That means that they do not believe that they have a religious right in Palestine, but took it over for imperialistic goals.

2- They do believe in the Promise, and plan on taking over all the Holy Land whenever they have the power to do so as they did in Palestine!

BEHIND the religious claim over the land, the Zionists hide a dangerous and scary imperialistic believes and plans that go under the title “The ends justify the means.”

Justice, respect of human life, respect for human rights, and all rules and regulations set to keep and protect peace and stability in the world mean nothing to them.

Palestine is just the beginning. The rest of the Holy Land next. And who knows what afterward, if we do not stand for justice, and put an end to this mistake of allowing such monster to get a burrow to grow its claws, and then attack its protectors and nurturers first.

To IhartU:

Technically, the Land is God's.  Israel is the human representation of God's promise.  Your fear should not be of Israel taking over ALL of the land, but of God, who has promised to come back and establish His Kingdom.

I don't subscribe to your religion or your god and frankly I want nothing to with anything that causes so much loss of life, but I find myself having to think like a believer in order to understand the reasoning behind what is going on.

I don't fear your god, I fear everyone sitting back and doing nothing while innocent people use the excuse of being the chosen people to wipe out an entire race.

Did they not learn from their own Holocaust? They have to turn around and do the same to the Palestinians? Two wrongs do not make a right!

It's a freakin' piece of land... so much destruction and bloodshed over a freakin' piece of land...

On both sides IhartU...on both sides.

Surely you dont beleive the innocent women and children of Israel should be punished for something that happend sixty years ago? It has been shown in recent studies that Anti semintism is way more prevelant in this day and age, then anit-islam, even with the whole 911 thing. It is a fact that groups like Hezbollah, Jihad extremsits, and Hamas ahve all catagorized thier fight against not only Israel, but Jews everywhere. So, who is trying to wipe out whom?

Palestine, especially the current Hamas regime does not have clean hands in this, take a look in the mirror when you hit one group with sayings two wrongs dont make a right, I think you will find that Israel has an equal culprit in the middle eastern problem

He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing" .
