i've tried the different way. the dog is a little stuburn when it comes to potty training. we had to move into a small apartment. and with my health and the kids health she is not getting exercise the way she need. i will get her fixed before i give her away.
We have the same problem. We have 2 dogs and 2 cats and could not find homes for any of them.
We put one of each outside and got an air purifier for Logan's room. It seems to be helping. Also, I think his tolerance has been building up as well.

There are lots of ways to still live with a pet even if you have allergies. If you're interested let me know and I'd be happy to PM you a big list. It may be a little extra work, but it's worth it to not have to give up a pet.
On that note if you do get rid of your dog, PLEASE get her spayed first. I'm sure you wanted want her to go to anyone who would just try to use her for a breeding machine. :(
