Serious Question, Please Read!

Please respond to this. I really need some opinions!!! Ok. I want to know some opinions on this. If someone sent you an email that is very vicious and hateful and one of the things they say is "God help you if that baby dies, you are sooo history, he is the only thing that ties you to his dad, your husband." Would anyone percieve that as a threat? My baby is very healthy, he has no serious medical issues that would cause death. I am percieving that as a threat against my childs life. Am I wrong?

I would also take it as a threat. If it was someone I knew lived near me, I would file a harassment report. That's scary.

That sentence is very threatening... and I would be taking it too the local police (even if to have on file).   Is this an email from someone you know? and if so it needs to be confronted with by a letter from an attorney (if there is legal action there) Do not handle this lightly and wait for a next email. If this is something that has been going on for  awhile it needs to be nipped in the bud before anything is going to happen and print this letter up and save it, make sure you make a copy for the police and attorney.

I absolutely would consider that a threat.  One you need to report it to cafemom, but you also need to report it to the police.

i too would consider it a threat. it sounds like someone who is jealous of you and your DH? i would report it to the authorities and make sure they have it on file.

If nothing else I'd say report it so it's on file.  God forbid something does happen and you didn't have a record of this sort of thing... I also agree that if this was done through CM, you need to report it to Cafemom.  They will take this sort of thing VERY seriously, I'm sure.

That would definitely be a threat in my opinion.  I'd be tempted to call the information line at the police station to see what they think, to be honest.

It doesnt sound like a threat to your child no but it does sound like a threat torwards you if something was to happen to your child. I read it like 6 times and it says GOD help you IF that baby dies, so in other words if your baby dies GOD help you because you would be history. thats how I get it. Either way it is a threat but it doesnt sound like it is torward your child but to you.
