I've never had a caniption fit before.  I 'bout had a heart attack.  I never drive in the snow, and not only was I driving in it, it was still snowing.  And it wasn't just light fluffly snow that miandered down.  It was a snow flurry!  We got caught in it the next town over and we were forced to drive in it to get home.

Here I was imaging all the different ways we could get into a car wreck (sliding down a hill we had to go up, not being able to stop soon enough, someone else bumping me, someone crashing into me while I'm turning (almost happened by the way)) and he takes off his seat belt, AND stands up in the car to get a toy that fell down.  Add to that, he can't always get his seat belt on, I had to pull over in a snow bank so my husband could get out and help him buckle up again.

Oi, I was SO upset, it took me an hour to calm down once we got home.  I'm just glad he's small enough to go back into a car seat.  We're taking his booster out of the car and replacing it with his car seat.

Well, I've got more to say, but I gotta keep my computer visit short today.  We've got a ton of errands to run - in the slush.  :)

i know how scary that is.  i always pull over on the side of the road and wait until they buckle up.  once or twice i've had to spank my daughter for it. she'd unbuckle when we were going down the interstate over a bridge.  i can' imagine how scary that must be in the snow.

is he still in a car seat? depending on his age and size you should consider getting a sear that harnesses to 65lbs to keep him safe!!
