The Kindness Of Strangers

Ok so I went to pick up my son from school today. I had to walk since we only have one working car.

It was raining outside and I was kicking myself for leaving my umbrella in my husband's car. I bundled up the baby and brought out the stroller. I put my jacket over him also to keep him dry. He gets sick alot so I wanted him warm and dry.

I walked to the school thinking I am such a crappy mom for not having an umbrella!

When I got there to wait for my son to come out of the lunch room. A lady comes up and says for baby. She then hands me my coat and stands there covering my youngest with an umbrella of her own. I put back on my coat and stand there almost in tears and say thank you.

She then says come. She let me stand under this umbrella with her. Though we didn't speak because she doesn't speak much English and my Spanish is very little she helped me.

When her daugher came out I was already taking off my coat to put over my little one since I presumed she was leaving....I was wrong! This woman walked with me and my two boys and her daughter all the way back to my home!

Even though this may seem small to you...It is not small to me.She shared her shelter from the rain with me and my children.
