Pregnancy Week 12

Well, I won't be 12 weeks until tomorrow...but close enough! lol

I have been so sick since my 9th week.  I had hoped that I wouldn't have the morning sickness as bad as with Alyssa, but that didn't work out too well.  It has started to get better though.  At first I was sick every morning and I would have bad nausea spells multiple times throughout the day.  Now my nausea is limited to only occassionally and I haven't had morning sickness in about a week....so let's hope that is all over!!!

I have been tired, but nothing unbearable.  It helps that my Endocrinologist is staying right on top of my thyroid disease this time.  I hope to have everything go smoothly this time since I am getting the proper care for that this pregnancy.  Because of my thyroid disease, I will be getting an ultrasound every 6 weeks just to check on baby's growth (since thyroid disease can inhibit a baby's growth), but Alyssa turned out fine, so I'm not worried. =)

Speaking of ultrasounds, I had my first one yesterday.  Jeff, Alyssa and I got to see it.  Alyssa was so excited to see her, "baby brother or baby sister"...of course she thinks it is a sister...but we will see.  It was too early to check that! lol  This baby was moving like crazy in there though.  Alyssa was never that active!!!  Jeff commented that it was no wonder I'd been so nauseated! lol  We saw hands and legs moving like there was no tomorrow!!! lol  Even the doctor said, "wow, that's a mover!" lol  Jeff seems to think that must mean it's a boy and he will want to be a kickboxer...but Jeff is just weird, so we will see.

I also got to meet with the doctor for the first time yesterday.  He just went over the basics...you know, don't go 4-wheeling, horseback riding, etc. lol  Jeff and I think my doctor is hilarious because he says the weirdest things...and not to be funny either (I think that is why it is so funny)! lol  Like our favorite yesterday was, "your pregnant, not fragile so go out, stay busy, be active, work and play".  So all day Jeff would say, "you are pregnant, not fragile"! lol 

So anyway...I'm excited to be doing so great....not so excited about how I'm going to have to buy more clothes since all my old maternity clothes don't fit...but that is a completely different story! lol
