I think my favorite thing about winter would have to be the snow. We just had about 18 inches of it over Christmas break. I guess I only like it when I have to drive to find it. Usually the mountains not far from my house. When you have 18 inches of it piled on your car and about 1/2 way through the 18inches we had about 1/2inch of freezing rain. So on my car sat 8 inches of snow, 1/2inch of ice then another 10 inches of snow. Let me tell you when I finally was able to go back to work it was a pain in the rear to get that stuff cleared off my car. Did I mention I had a small car that required chains. That was a pain all in itself. When it first started to snow it was pretty. Everything dusted in white. It was quiet except for the fire alarm from the department. Spent 8 hours there the first night because we dont get that much snow here EVER. That is my favorite thing about winter...When I dont have to drive in it of course.

Winter time is nice because it is a chance to have more family time.   My kids and I spend time baking cookies and they look forward to meals that we don't cook in the summertime.  With it being cold I have an excuse to cuddle with my hubby without listening to him complain how hot it is.  I do wish we got snow to go along with the cold. All we get here is ice and messy roads to drive on.

the neighbore are gone! it's not hot. it's cozy in the house with a warm blanket, my pets all cozy  with me, a hot fire in the wood burner,  a warm meal , watching tv, it's quite and peaceful.. no  neighbors making noise, loud talking, loud music, loud cars, a hot cup of tea and it s QUITE- I can't stand loud neighbors and noise... I know ...I should move to the country- but the way they build any more there is no counrty to move to.
