About 8 months ago my doctor put me on Yaz birth control to regulate my periods. They were very irregular and I would either go without a period for months or have my period for months. It was nuts. Anyways, I have polycystic ovaries and I don't ovulate correctly. Not long after I started the birth control pill my breasts started to severely hurt and they were even more huge than normal. Maybe I'm dumb but I didn't put two and two together that the pills were making my breasts hurt that bad. Anyways, I went to the doctor for breast pain. They basically told me to quit drinking caffeine and scheduled me for a mammogram.

Well I didn't quit drinking my caffeine but I did quit taking the birth control pill. My breasts felt so much better!!! I decided to go ahead with the mammogram anyways. I am 32 years old and never had one before so I was nervous and not quite sure what to expect. I went on Friday and my mom came over to watch the kids. I expected it to be pretty much in and out. Well I ended up being there for almost 5 hours. They worked on me the whole time taking pictures and I even had a sonogram of my breasts. I was losing it. I was crying like crazy and a million emotions were running through me. I immediately think the worst and start worrying about my kids, etc. They wouldn't tell me anything other than that there were some areas of concern. They said I would get the results in the mail and it could take 30 days. What! I don't think so!

I bawled all weekend. You can't imagine the emotions that run through you when you think there could seriously be something wrong with your health. Well, first thing Monday morning I called my doctor for him to find out the results, there was NO way I was waiting up to 30 days for a letter in the mail. When they finally called me back, they said they did find some densities and that I have fibrocystic breasts. They want to me have another mammogram in 6 months. Phew! I'm okay for now. Praise The Lord!

Wow...how scary.  Don't you HATE when they won't tell you anything yet you know something is obviously concerning?!  Glad everything is ok for now.  Take care!!

That is scary!   I am glad you are ok.  I also had my first mammogram at 32...two days before my wedding day because I had a small lump(pea size)...well wouldn't you know...the lump went away before the mammogram(and after I went to the doctor).  I was also on Yaz for a few months...I quit because my breasts got huge!  They still are!  Unfortunately they grew with Yaz and never settled down after I stopped(about 2 years ago).  So I am not on bc now...

Girl do I ever know how you feel! I too am 32 but I haven't had a mammogram yet, but I've had a comlete hysterectomy, and I had cysts that ate the lining of my stomach. these are the same cysts that were on my ovaries that I had to start taking birth control for at age 16! so, I know the pain and the worry, is very scary but the good thing is your remembering GOD. and he'll help you through it. Stay on top of things and don't miss any appointments cause that's when you will be forgotten about by the docs. I'll keep you in my prayers.!  Keep the faith and don't forget to trust him. I know easier said than done, but it helps! ♥Erica

HI!! Sorry about the brest pain. I go through that all every 6 months I have a small mass they keep track of. My sister has a BB in her breast so they can keep track of hers!! They know where to find it. Well maybe not a BB per say but something that they can find easily on the screen.
