I am looking for interesting traditons, either for holidays or everyday, that you do with your children.  I would like to share them with my readers over at http://ww.majesticchild.com , which is a blog I recently started for parents who wish to enhance their children's lives and create a memorable childhood for them.  Thanks in advance.

For Christmas, I decided last year to make everyone fill out a journal about what their favorite thing about Christmas was.  My kids are little, and H doesn't like to read let alone write anything, so I do most of it myself.  My mom gave us a new couch this year, and my h told me that was his favorite thing, my son really liked a train set, my other boy liked the wooden car his dad and him built together..ect.  Everyone had one memory that really stood out, so I wrote it down in a spiral notebook that I bought last year.  I kept it in my Christmas totes, so it didn't get lost or anything.  And it was in the totes when I took care of stuff, so it didn't get forgotten.  My boys are little, so I have a lot of time to do this, and even when they become teenagers are roll their eyes, I know one day, some one will look at this journal, and it will mean something.  I do try to encourage they write something more like an event that a present-like last year, my son held a real lit candle during church service, and that made him feel special, and big.
