Inle_Rabbit:  It certainly does look like it could be that word!  But, no it actually says 'snit' which means 'irritated state'.  LOL

Gilmorefan2001: I didn't find it, it was emailed to me...one of those many 'forwards' !

I was actually like this 'Tacoma' lady, once upon a time, before I had kids and wondered??? 'What DO SAHMs DO all day?'   Miss Tacoma will just have to have kids of her own in order to really know!

I must be the only mother on the planet that can't relate to that article.  I have 3 kids, one husband, a dog, a snake and a part-time job and I still manage to make time to talk to and see my friends.  I had 3 of my friends over tonight for dinner since the hubby is on night shift and I didn't really want to hang by myself with just the kids.  And, of those 3 friends, none of them have children.  I believe it's really a matter of prioritizing and running your own life instead of having your life (and your children) run you.  That and the belief that I do not have to be at my kids' every beck and call and I also believe that they should be able to learn how to behave in public (pulling books off library shelves??  I don't think so), they should not expect to have everything they want (going to buy the latest-to-be-declared essential piece of plastic gear) and I am not really a 'constant attention' kind of mommy.  I always taught my kids they would survive without me carrying them around and entertaining them 24/7/365...they also learned to play by themselves and with each other.  Maybe I'm just a bad mother...maybe I just got good kids...I don't know...you can take a look at their pics on my page and tell me if you think they are suffering...I don't think they are.  Oh well...
