I'm a 32DD, Who Knew?

Okay, so I was feeling rather freakish and bummed that my 32 D bras just aren't doing the job and the 34Cs I have stuffed in the back of the drawer are just a laugh a minute. It is so hard to find a good fitting bra and there are just no good lingerie shops that specialize in fittings that are easy for me to get to (we are talking an hour at least away). Victoria's Secret is a joke. When I explained that if I buy a 34 band (despite what those online calculators tell you) that I can stretch it quite far and have to put it in the last setting and once that stretches out, the bra is pretty much doing nothing but digging in my shoulders.
So I've been popping out of my 32Ds a little and they are leaving marks and making my clothes look terrible, but I was so reluctant to go to a DD.
1. I thought, "That's HUGE! How can I be a DD?"
2. It is impossible to find 32D anywhere in a store much less a 32DD!
3. When you do find them they aren't cheap!
I am waiting my mail order of 32DD european style bras 30 dollars a pop. *sigh*
But this picture made me feel better (this is NOT me), but a picture from a lingerie store called Knickers that is attached to an article called "America's Denial of Larger Cup Sizes."
That's ME! Small frame with full bosom. Admittedly I've got more weight on me but that's my chest. Well, that's what my chest WOULD look like if my bra didn' t give me quad boob.
This makes me feel better. I really had an off perception of cup sizes!
What is quad boob? You know it ... it looks like the picture on the left. You have your main boob, and that little boobs sitting on tip of it. Looks awful!
And those online calculators are crap. Some tell me I'm a 34 B others say a 34C and I have TRIED those cup sizes in with different bands and it just doesn't work. I've come to realize that those sizes are crap and you just have to try on 100 bras or find a legitimate lingerie shop with old ladies who feel you up to size you.

As someone who had quad boob since puberty, I feel ya. Not literally. But, even with all of the calculations done, you still have to either try on all 100 bras or find a brand & stick with it. Even with a more "normal" chest after my reduction, I still wear different sizes in different brands. However, I will admit it is very nice to be able to try those on in the store vs. having to order them online. The little ladies feeling you up is still the best option, even with store-sized boobs. :)
I went to victoria secret here in Boise. After being measured, felt up, and walked out of the dressing room with only pants and a bra on... they came to the conclusion I needed to lose weight to wear their bras. LOL I so feel you on this.

Fredrick's of Hollywood. Sexy bras for women of ALL sizes. They tend to carry larger bras in the store so I have a tough time finding my size. I have to order online and I'm a 34B.
I might have to try them after I get a new job. I am finding myself shrinking and in between DD and D now. Ok actually one boob is a D and the other is DD LOL.

that cracked me up! Ya know, I need to (how with little ones in tow I dunno) but
try on the 100 bras to find 'the one' too. You're so right, those online calculators, or even
just taking a measuring tape here & there & under here. . . then add 5. . now measure here. . .
still doesn't "work". **sigh**
