More Ramblings...(only because I am at work and bored!)

Called on a little house yesterday.  Two bedroom house with a fenced in back yard for $675 a month.  It certainly isn't the greatest looking house in the world, but for a single gal and her little monkey, it's perfect.  I wish my rental history wasn't so tarnished, then it might be easier.  The downside is that it's right next to a busy ass road.  But I would be ten minutes from both my grandmother and my parents and still within the school district (it's just down the street from Michelle's preschool).  I talked to the realitor about it and found out that the owner's are really pushing for it to get rented due to unexpected costs and misfortunes.  I feel bad for them and I don't even know them.  They recently lost their baby.  The unexpected costs are the funeral costs of burying their child.  I told her don't push it and give them some time.  If I don't hear back from the realitor within a week, I will call back.  But I don't want her calling them and asking them all these questions about a tenant when they have so much going on for them right now.  I've got about a month.  Told her I was looking for something to move into around February, didn't matter if it was beginning of Feb or even mid-Feb.  I've also got a mental list of places I want to call and inquire about.  There are apartments on the other side of town which include ALL utilities, even electric...but it would mean a 1 bedroom apartment.  This is a 2 bedroom house.  With a yard.  Give it time.

I hope that everything goes alright.  I want my own place badly.  Be it my luck they accept me for the house and I discover that the house is unacceptable for living there with a small child.  Obviously, I would plan to take a look at it before I move in, but there have been times I have seen places that look nice, even on the inside, and then find out that one thing or another is wrong.

But it sure would be nice to have an actual street address that didn't have an apartment number or lot number attached to it.
