Hey guys! It is a girl! We are so excited.

About her:

Zoey Fae Ashworth. She was born on Dec. 24th at 12:48pm; she weighted 6lb. 5oz. and was 20.5 inches long. Due to several complications we did have to have an emergency c-section but thankfully the whole labor and delivery Zoey was stable and never stressed, she is very healthy and just the most precious gift me and Justin could ask for.

My labor story

It was a very very scary experience in all honesty, they messed up a few things while I was in labor that scared me pretty bad but thankfully Zoey was healthy and not under stress the whole time. I had been in and out of the hospital for two weeks due to blood pressure problems (Toximia). The dr's were very much against a c-section for me due to BP and my weight. After the induction medications Cervadail and Cytosec all failed, they were going to send me home the next morning (x-mas eve) , at 2 cm dilated to take a few more days to ripen and then come back. I was so sick of coming to the hospital and being sent home without my baby. But that evening my water broke. T started contractions and the nurse said I was at 5 cm, I decided to get a epidural, the lady doing my epidural messed up big time and punctured through my spinal membrane and went into my spinal fluid and put air bubbles into it, I could feel it and I seriously thought I was going to die, they went straight to my head and I could feel air bubbles in the fluid surround my brain, I got the worst headache ever and started to freak out. Justin was so scared but he stayed so strong for me, I was freaking out. The lady said I was not going to die but that she will just make my epidural a spinal block ( she tried to say it happens but later I found out that happens to about 1 person every 5 years, lucky me), then she messed it up so bad on the spinal block that the pain medication did not work all night so I labored all night with no relief, thankfully we had another guy come in and he did another epidural on me the next morning ( I was so scared to get another, but I was so exhausted from everything I really needed the relief) and it worked, they put me on the potossum medicine to speed up the labor but I never progressed, we found out the nurse had miss read me and I was only 3 cm, not 5 and I stayed at 3 for over 16 hours. Since my water had broke, we had to do the emergency C-section because I was running out of time ( a baby needs to be born within 24 hr. of water braking to avoid infection), we later found out she was stuck so she never would have come out on her own. they did the emergency c-section and it was going awesome until right after Justin and Zoey left, then my pain medication started to go away and I could feel everything they were doing as they sewed me up, they had to give me a super dose of morphine to stop the pain and then they put me on another med for my blood pressure so I wouldn't have a ceasure but the medication itself makes you very sick and drugged feeling. It was so hard but thankfully the day after they took me off of all med's. and IV's and stuff and I felt almost back to myself that night. I recover so fast we got to go home the next day, just a day and half after delivery. I have recovered since then amazingly and the Dr. said. As far as my OB/GYN he was amazing so in the end all was well, but it will be a long time before we have another lol. Thanks for letting me vent my horror story lol.
