WHERE can I get a no soliciting sign for my front door??  I need one... BADLY!!!  I am so sick of people coming to my door to sell me everything from over-priced cleaning supplies and vacuum cleaners to way over-priced books and magazine subscriptions.  I'm sure they'll still knock if I have a sign on my door (because people are blind and like to ignore things... no offense to actual blind people), but at least if someone comes knocking I can just point to the sign.  These people are SOOO annoying!!!  Get a real job that actually pays you hourly and doesn't make you annoy people at their homes!!  And I don't know about here in Florida, but in Ohio, it was actually illegal to knock on anyone's door if they had a No Soliciting sign.  Whether it was actually enforced is probably another story.  I swear, in Ohio it was mostly Mormons and Jehovah's Witnesses, here it's salespeople.  If I need your product, sell it in stores like normal people.

you can usually find them at office supply stores, for real! same section that carries 'no smoking' or 'male/female' bathroom door signs, etc. ...we've got two doors at the salon, north side and south side of building, and both have 'no solicitations' signs...i'm convinced that salespeople/fundraising groups/etc can't read!!

Get a one of those giant florescent posters from Walmart and a big fat black marker and write it SO BIG they cannot miss it and put it on your front door.

It will be an eye sore, but you'll get used to it.

After they stop coming for a couple months, you could probably make a smaller one.

I used to have a big sign on my door that said "No Religious Solicitation - Girl Scout Cookies are OK"

LOL I hate the Verizon salespeople. There was one girl that came to my door and my dh answered. She tried flirting with him. He tried his best to be polite and NOT laugh in her face. I just walked up to the door, told her, "He said No, move on." and slammed the door in her face. LOL

Jan. 15, 2009 at 10:26 PM I got mine at Home Depot. They probably have them at Menard's, Lowe's, any kind of store like that.

oh i agree. when we lived in the townhome after tristan was born (we had no peephole) and the doorbell rang. he was a week old and i was breastfeeding. i had to unlatch him for a second to see who was at the door. some stupid man trying to sell a cleaning product and he just kept talking even though tristan was pretty much screaming he still kept talking. i just ended up shutting the door in his face. can he not see i was busy. now where we are now we have jehovas constanly harrasing my sister in law while she is watching my son during the days. she has finally stopped answering the door and one day she actually saw a man staring thru the window. um no!! we are moving next week and i will be getting a sign (i think lowes has them) and putting it on the door. also the door has a screened in area around it that i can lock if i want to :) i agree that's really annoying.
