Well Zoe is here!  She was born on January 8, 2009 at 2:33PM.  She weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces and was 20 inches long.  She and I were perfectly healthy after the c-section and came home the following Sunday.  However, on Tuesday afternoon I was having a hard time breathing.  I decided to check my blood pressure (because it was high during my pregnancy) and it was through the roof!  I called my OB and they said to go to the ER.  So DH and I drove to the ER and by the time we got there my blood pressure was higher than it had ever been during pregnancy.  They started running a bunch of tests and it turned out that I had fluid in my lungs which is why I couldn't breathe.  My heart was also slightly larger than it was supposed to be.  It was really scary!  The next day, they did an ultrasound on my heart and it was normal but borderline to being abnormal.  So the cardiologist said that we just need to control my blood pressure a bit better and the condition should reverse in 6 months to a year.  The good thing is that I can get pregnant again in a few years if we choose to.  There was some talk that I might have to take permanent steps toward not getting pregnant again because of my heart, but that doesn't seem to be the case, which is a huge relief.  Anyway, I'm home now and feeling great!  I lost 7 pounds of fluid in the hospital over 2 1/2 days and since have lost another 5 pounds or so.  So I've lost a total of 30 pounds since delivery!  I'm really excited.  Plus I can breathe normally again and I don't get tired just trying to do normal things.  So anyway, that's my delivery story I guess.  I'm really glad that we did do a c-section now because it could have been deadly for me to try to have a vaginal birth.  So all in all things worked out well.  Here are some pics of Zoe at one week old. . .
