I am a single mom and pretty much raised my daughter by myself. While it was a financial struggle, the positive side is that we established a very close bond. Now that she is married and raising a family of her own, they live within a few minutes of me and we see each other almost every weekend. I am also a very proud Grandma and am very fortunate to be able to spend a lot of time with my grandsons. I get to go to their school events, bike races and football games. We live in Southern California so we have great weather most of the time. My daughter and I both grew up in Nebraska so we have experienced and know first hand what it's like to live thru snow, ice, thunderstorms and tornados. (We survived the 1980 tornadoes that hit Grand Island - 7 total during 3 hours!)
Blessings,
